UK wont be as naive as last time.

And after that DK showing against the Swiss, this will probably be closer than people think.

2-1 Denmark.

This is clearly a more even matchup than the previous 2 games but GB still seem to be playing very negatively

Nobody realised how much time they actually have or has the confidence to carry the puck, no controlled breakouts or zone entries, they're still just throwing blind long passes through the neutral zone and icing the puck all the time

The Brits have some good size and experience and are really bolstered by Bowns play. They desperately need to get some younger legs into this program though. They have too many mid to upper 30's players. Not sure if the Brit fans know if any other pros looking for citizenship or if they have any juniors lookin to break through.

Yep,
Bowns has kept them in both this game, and the SVK game.

Quite a few younger players included in this tournament. Sam Jones, Josh Tetlow, Sam Duggan and the obvious one being Liam Kirk.

Some other debuts - for David Clements, Lewis Hook, Ciaran Long - who may not be up and coming, but have plenty of gas in the tank.

A lot of the really old players in the team are pros who have gotten citizenship. That is the age profile of guys who come to play in the UK. We tend not to just let anyone play too, all our dual nats were born here, have a parent or some other direct connection to the country.

There are some interesting prospects starting to knock on the door. But we're punching well above our weight at this level. Hopefully multiple seasons at this level leads to added investment and interest.

Horrible Danish period - Should be much better against a team of ageing Brit league players..

Boedker seems like he would rather be golfing.

True is sluggish, and Jesper B Jensen making some awful passes.

Scott Conway is missing as well. Any other notables turn down an invitation?

He looks like that every time he plays hockey, that's why his career went the way it did.

Talking about young prospects, GB is in a fine place. They definitely aren't going to drop in level anytime soon. Although their real level is probably more of D1A strength but for 2nd tournament in a row they are showing that doesn't mean they can't beat some teams in the elite.

P.S. Now lets just take time to consider Sweden lost to this Danish team.
