Got this EVOO Notebook from Walmart for $299 USD, for the specs it's pretty good for the price.

XPG 2TB NVMe SSD with up to 7,400/6,800 MB/s R/W speeds for only USD $229.99.

https://www.amazon.com/XPG-2TB-GAMMIX-Blade-AGAMMIXS70B-2T-CS/dp/B093DNV47J

I was in the market for a 2TB drive, stumbled upon this just now and jumped on it. It's a really good price for the fastest class of SSD. All others in this class are at least $30 more. It's about what I was prepared to pay for a slower Gen 4 (5,000/4,000 MB/s R/W) drive a few months ago, but put it off. I'm glad that I did. I bought it for PC, but it's also PS5 compatible. The reviews are good and say that the speeds are as advertised. The only potential issue is that it comes with a dinky heat spreader instead of a heat sink, but my motherboard came with M.2 heatsinks, so it's not an issue for me, personally.

Edit: If that S70 Blade is no longer available, there's also the S70, which seems to have the same speeds, so I'm not sure what the difference is, maybe none except the heatsink and packaging:

I look forward to reading the first page in 7 years laughing at how tiny our hard drives are today.

Paging @Big McLargehuge. It's been 7 years since you wrote this.

Actually, it's funny because, contrary to what we all expected, mainstream hard drive sizes haven't really gotten much larger in the last 7 years. Instead, they've gotten a lot faster and most people are choosing smaller and faster over larger and slower.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600 is now only $118 at Amazon and comes with Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves. That's a pretty good deal, especially if you have an older AM4 processor, like a 3600, and your motherboard supports the 5600.

Steam is having a sale until June 29th on games made in Germany. One of those is Dome Keeper, which is 40% off and only US $10.79. It's a pixel art roguelike with mining and base defense and 90% positive reviews. I started it 6 months ago and wrote about it in the "Games you are currently playing" thread:

https://forums.hfboards.com/threads/games-you-are-currently-playing-part-7.2687371/post-188086383

I mentioned that I could see the replay value dropping off, but I still play it now and then 6 months later. It's addictive, challenging and feeds my craving for being efficient and making smart choices. I recommend it if that sounds like the kind of game that's up your alley.

Wario64 is literally one of the reasons I downloaded twitter… there must be a team of people otherwise the guy/gal never sleeps. Have gotten lucky off of several things they have posted.
