I’ll never get people complaining about Vegas “cheating” they are obviously operating within the rules and any team could do what they’re doing but many owners are probably too cheap

Vegas is only 19-12 against Dallas all time...not the dominant record some people are making it out to be.
Yeah, that's really f***ing annoying. I wanted to support the Stars but why do they do that.Dallas deserves to lose for its terrible camera angle. Simple as that.
Rangers, Canes, Florida, and Dallas (still a series).Which teams would beat this Vegas team?

Hertl and Stone are playing on legs fresh as daisies.Vegas had a shorter summer and they don't have home ice. There should be no excuses for Dallas.
I think people should be angry at NHL for allowing Vegas (or any other team) to do this, instead of being angry at Vegas for doing what NHL allows them to do.I mean, it’s not unreasonable that people are getting annoyed at seeing teams manipulating IR transactions so that they can cruise into the playoffs 20% over the cap.
“Anyone could be doing this” also applies to billionaires exploiting tax loopholes, doesn’t mean it should be supported or imitated.
Pretty underwhelming WCF so farThing is, I'd take them in a 7 game series over almost every other Western team except Vegas.
This series right here might as well be the WCF, imo. Unfortunately for the Stars, they suck against Vegas for whatever reason

Throwing shade at the Avs I seeThis isn't losing the Wild or Kraken or LA.
Is anyone aware that VGK was able to get Hanafin, Hertl, and Martha with Stone’s LTIR money - and then MIRACULOUSLY get Stone back to start the play-offs? This is not an ordinary NHL team. The only people who think VGK’s success is a commentary on the Stars is not paying attention.
They are the hipster team right now because of their drafting and that they are an NHL Southern market and that they have a lot of good players without a big hole in their team.
But they aren't a team that scares you. They don't have any of the NHL's true elite players. Heiskanen might the closest they have, but lets face it most people aren't picking him over Makar, Fox, Hedman, Hughes. Robertson and Hintz are players that often get a reputation as underrated offensive players around the league, but they aren't even facing up to Stone and Eichel, let alone what a potential matchup with McDrai would like like. Oettinger has had a mediocre year and right now isn't the player he's known as.
Their young players are good, but not ready to carry them yet and they aren't like Bedard level guys either.
Given that the NHL teams are owned by billionaires who exploit people for a living, I would argue that makes it by default a low trust society where the concept of fairness doesn't exist, and anything that is not specifically forbidden is allowed. It's tough to be mad at the NHL, since nobody really anticipated this when the CBA was negotiated, and there is nothing the league can do about it until the CBA is renegotiated.
It's easy to be mad at Vegas for engaging in a very good example of 'high trust society rapidly becomes low trust society' behavior.
If Kelly McCrimmon didn't do what he did, I'd call him a sucker. There’s no reason we can’t demand better behavior from all parties involved.
This acknowledgement serves as a counter jinx.Yeah, that's really f***ing annoying. I wanted to support the Stars but why do they do that.
Anyway, I think this thread will jinx the Knights. Stars in 6 baby.
No cane do, I've already booked Carolina to beat us in the finals.I hope Vegas goes 16-0 and crushes Bettman's darling Rangers in the finals... Maybe then the LTIR loophole will get some attention.
