Figured we should have a thread for Zubrus-related news/discussion. (Don't we usually have one for an injury? If not, merge it up!).

Everyone was speculating it was being hit into the open door, but didn't seem like he hurt his wrist on that play? Really curious how he got injured..

4 weeks from surgery: March 14th (6 weeks left in season)
6 weeks from surgery: March 28th (4 weeks left in season)

Sounds like the surgery went well but there definitely is SOMETHING off because the return time frame shifted towards the latter part of the 2-8 weeks.

Where did you get 6-8 weeks? TG, Chere, and the Devil's Twitter all have 4-6 which is right in the middle of what 2-8 was.

With time to spare, could be a blessing in disguise as it is the reason Poni is back. Upon his return the team should be stronger then when he got hurt. He will be like Zajac returning late last season.

It always sucks to lose a forward at times like this. Especially a top 6 guy. This is one thing I was worried about from last Summer when it appeared we would start with 8 defensemen. Luckily with Poni I don't expect it to be as big of a blow as it could have been.

We'll all miss Zubrusaurus Rex while he is out. But now we have Poni back and Matteau is getting a chance because of it. So that's not all bad.
