I think this is great. I have really pushed for years for more black hockey players, particularly black hockey players who happen to live in US inner cities, to play hockey.

Unfortunately, hockey is not cheap. But football, basketball and baseball are much more accessible. I hope this gets national attention and inspires other black inner city youths to take up hockey.

Who would have guessed the Coyotes to lead the way in this?

The ownership group (and its hires) gets it. They are really trying to promote the game of hockey in AZ. Where's Katie Strang?
