When is Legault going to address the real problem unvaxed people and leave the rest of us that have had 2 or 3 shots alone? If he was a strict with punishing the people that are causing the problem instead of everyone we wouldn't have a problem.

At this point, the ONLY thing he could possibly do is require vaccipasss everywhere, and even that seems to have more downsides than upsides.

Curfew is dumb (but by the way last year we had a curfew and Ontario went under a full lockdown at the same time)
This government (and mostly all of them) are morons to me. Not one of them was elected because of how smart they are...only need to smile, spin the right thing, shakes some hands and tell people what they want to hear. That's politics.

I'm a morning guy honestly, always has been.....many of my friends are night creatures also but as I've told them, if you're mad because you can't go into bars, club and get shit faced (because that's mostly what they do)....then they are equally morons than the government right now cause hey, they should take a break on their own right now.

But then again, one of my friend finish working at 9pm, so I understand that for him it truly sucks big time.

I'm not approving this measures one bit, but I think measures should be taken....just not that one.

I finish at 9pm half the week so ya thats annoying.
It's not about not being able to go in a bar, it's about not being able to do anything outside after 10pm. That's really f***ed up man.

Also, we were told to get the vaccine so we can limit the spread and not have to go back to these crazy measures. So I got my 2 shots. I'm ready to take my 3rd one as well, but wtf is the point if it leads us back to square one anyways?
They say hospitals are getting hit because of unvaccinated...well then why do I have to suffer the consequences?
You didn't want to get the shot, you need to go to hospital? Okay, you flip the bill then.
Wanna go into any business? Vax passport.

That's it that's all.

Curfew? Okay, better just be for the unvaccinated then.

Exactly!

The science thus far is loud and clear, Omicron is more mild, and is not much of a threat to fully vaccinated individuals (outside of catching it, of course).

The vaccines are the tickets out. If everyone was vaccinated you wouldn’t even need to test for this damn thing anymore, you would just go to the hospital if you had serious issues. Which was also the case with flu and cold for older people and people with co-morbidities from the beginning.

Right now the vaccinated are being prevented from living a normal life due to government restrictions to essentially protect unvaccinated people.

Tbh that's wild. I have been supportive of the majority of the measures but it's getting quite absurd at this point.

Maybe because our vaccines lost a lot of their efficiency, since we took them more than 6 months ago.

Maybe because omicron contaminate vaccinated people in a way higher rate than Delta.

Maybe because unvaccinated people are already not allowed almost anywhere...

By reading your message, you would think that 100% of the people in the hospitals, on ICU and deaths are unvaccinated... Do you really believe that ?

The high hospitalization rates for non-vaccinated are 100% their fault.

They’ve lost a lot of the efficacy from catching it, but the efficacy of reducing symptoms and more importantly hospitalization remains extremely high. It’s obvious net benefit at this point, even without a booster.

The daily data shows approximately 50% of hospitalized cases are unvaccinated, while they only take up ~10% of the population.

The bottleneck and reason for restrictions is hospital capacity, so yes the unvaccinated are a huge burden on the system - even though they have limited mobility/freedom. They still work and congregate in private. It’s not like Covid only spreads at Eastside Mario’s.

same for the vaccinated people, everyone with half a brain knows vaccine efficiency drop over time, and everyone with half a brain knows the ONLY way a variant from a foreign country can land here is by letting people go to said country and back, without quarantine.

in one paragraph you say it's pretty much 50/50 hospitalisations, but in the next, only the unvaccinated are a burden to the system ?

I know, I know, ratios... but still, that's an odd way to see things don't you think ?

The ratio flat out tell you that most of the unvaccinated who end up hospitalized would not end up hospitalized if they were vaccinated.

They are burden because
A) A disproportionate numbers of them need medical attention.
and
B) It was largely avoidable to begins with.

This is a pandemic of the extroverted. Those people just can't help meeting people left and right. They can't handle staying home alone for a few weeks. Probably many of them can't resist traveling and taking planes during a major pandemic neither.
