They just texted me from the grocery store where I ordered TP, flour, eggs (a week ago) and they could not get the 5 lbs of flour so they suggested 2 x 2 lbs of flour, and a 12 pack of cage free eggs instead of a 24 pack. I accepted and it will be ready to pick up in an hour, it's a about 8 miles away. Will be interesting to see how it works and I still get my TP.

That sentiment is shared with 99.99% of the world population.

Yes. But the world is going to be different.

I wonder if a business will say, why lease 10000 square feet when it can lease 6000 square feet and have half its workforce in the office at any time, with the other half working at home. Stuff like that.

More preppers is my guess.

Ways I cant imagine.

And Per Sjoblom, I have a Nikon FE2 with a 35mm/f2, 85mm/f2 and a 200mm/f4. Lol.

It's such a sad thing that this pandemic , instead of grouping every countries , every political groups, has turn into this . I am also deceived to see how far several people are willing to go to make more money and to get more power .

That is sadly how humans work.

If humans as a whole were selfless, I would get into some debate not allowed here.

I just hope we can get through it quickly and my family gets through it unscathed. My grandma mother side is 86, her boyfriend is 90 and my grand aunt is around that age too (just lost her husband to unrelated causes 2 months ago). That grand aunt is in a old people home to boot. I also have a bunch of aunts/uncles 55-65 on that side.

My dad side is sadly only aunts/uncles, but most are in their 60s (all of them 50+) including my father who is 64. I also have an uncle on immuno suppression due to a liver transplant.

Every day I am scared to look at our family news.

First time I am grateful my family come from villages. I have an uncle in Ottawa (in his 50s) and a couple relatives in Trois-Rivières. The rest are scattered around in villages around TR/Shawinigan/ Saint-Tite.

If this influence your lifestyle, you are about a century behind on your prep.

Pandemias are always going to be a thing with our universal world.

But thanks to it and it's research effort, we hopefully won't have a Black Plague/ Spanish flu event again.

Just a reminder that the Spanish flu infected around 25% of the world population (around 500 millions) and killed 1-2.5% of the world population (17-50 millions).

The Black Death plague killed 30-60% of the European population.

I have 2 kids here and a niece back in Sweden who has an underlying condition. She was born with heart and lungs mirrored inside here so she had these really big operations done to her when she was a couple of months (she was basically blue in color) where they moved organs around and even made a vein. I couldn't watch the photos my now dead little sister had of the operation and for a while I was sure she would be dead early one. However she is doing fine but I am very worried for her. My kids are both healthy and they are 26 and 30 years old. My parents, uncles and aunts and grand parents are all gone.

I have a cousin that has a condition that affects elastin. He had floppy skin from the moment he was born (IE he looked 60 at 20). It affects his respiratory capabilities so I'm worried about him. Good side is that he is also in that TR area so far from the epicenters.

Dr. Rami Nakeshbandi, Infectious Disease Specialist at SUNY Downstate talked about how the virus and how it acts, still surprises him:

We are looking for a pattern right now, how it acts on people that get infected with it but every time some kind of new information comes out: in terms of presentation, in terms of management, in terms of response to supportive management or different medications -- we're still having some surprises about it.

The most common symptoms so far that we have are: fever, shortness of breath and cough. And not every patient has a fever and not every patient has shortness of breath, so it's ranging. But the combination of those three symptoms, are the most common ones.

Let's hope it works and ends it early. This self-isolating is driving me up the wall. It's mind-boggling that it could go on for months without end.

Yep, same here. It's not just the isolation, it's the shit storm that will ensue if it gets out of hand, like Italy or the US.

Expect the current isolation to last into the summer. I do not think we will get into US/Italy territory, but measures will go on for a while.

Kind request : Is there a way to "insert" @llamateizer 's updated graphs in the first page, and even preferably in the first post, whenever he'll post it tomorrow?

I got flour, TO (4 rolls), eggs (12) and then I had a burger, a Bacon Special with a large fries and Carlito had a Dave's Double with cheese, no veggies. I have never seen a fairly large burger with fries go down so quickly. On my way home on the Sunset Highway there were 2 guys who drove fast. I have it on my dash cam, I swear the second car must have been close to 200 Km/h. I could hear it in my car when I could no longer see it.
