I don't know what to think of this.

On one hand, the number of cases is taking the Italy/Spain/NY route, but the number of people being hospitalized and the number of deaths is much less.

Maybe because the positive cases are mild or only 'suspected' because related to others that are confirmed positive? Maybe that's why.

The 10.79% figure of yesterday wasn't sustainable, but.... 19.67% of new cases is not soooooo bad in the circumstances.
Lets just hope it doesn't go any higher than that from now on.
(And what's the sudden jump in recovered cases?)

Well, we're having this kind of increase for the next 10 days.
Expect 20 k cases on April 12th. After that date, we need to stabilize the numbers after that.

Yesterday was an anomoly because of low tests results. We should of been more like 800 yesterday not 400.

% is still going down slightly. Its going to be a long 2 weeks but we need to keep the trend going down. Montreal we need to get our acts together here.

much worse than yesterday
Not really.

Yesterday we had 2153 cases (positive + negative)
last 8 days (between 5800 and 7800 cases/day)

and yesterday was one of the worst days since 26% of all cases for the day were tested positive.

Today 18%
last week 5-10%

You guys are reading wayyyy too much in the day to day numbers.

It takes at least a week maybe more to get the results from the test. So all the numbers coming in are from at least last week exposure. That means that every day we are in something bigger than what the number says

It also means that it takes time to see the decline that's happening with social distancing.

look at the positive guys. hospitalizations are still low. Second, the under investigation section keeps dropping and then we see tweets like this.

It shows that social distancing is working. And with 7000 calls to the police yesterday snitching on people. We are heading in the right direction.
