Avs are a top heavy team, but thats not much of a problem against a team like the Jets, whose ‘high-end talent’ isnt nearly quality enough to battle the Avs top-end to a draw.
Did you even watch the series? The top players of the Avs didn't really even play that well, I mean Makar did but MacKinnon and Rantanen were average or bellow that. It was the 4 stroke cylinder of the Avs that got the job done. Artturi f***ing Lehkonen got 5 goals, 8 points in the series. Don't even get me started on Nuke or Mittelstadt.

Was an interesting series with the regular season # 1 offence going against the #1 defence. The Jets being the first NHL team in history to give up 5+ goals in their first 5 playoff games was not expected after them winning the Jennings.

Jets actually did a really good job containing MacKinnon & Rantanen this series despite their point totals, Makar was a huge difference maker though. When he is on his game he’s the best defender of the last couple decades

The Avs have the depth this year to go to the cup final as long as Georgiev holds the fort and provides average goaltending. Lehkonen and Nikushkin step up in the playoffs.

And they did this without Landeskog.
I miss Landy, he is such a calming influence. Least he is with the team, if even in sweat pants at the morning skate lol

Jets were too slow and made too many brain dead decisions to make that series competitive. Bowness had no response to Bednar's adjustments.

Those blaming Hellebuyck - yeah he wasn't great this series, but if the Jets only chance was Hellebuyck stealing every game then they were going to get found out very quick in the playoffs.

Any other conference playoff team would have been a better match up for the Jets. If their goaltending holds up, the Avs will be in the finals representing the west.

It’s too bad the Jets lost out on the Jake Guentzel sweepstakes at the deadline. His offense would have been greatly welcome in Winnipeg. Seriously trade Ehlers, one of the most overrated players in the NHL.

Great series by the Avs, they made the right adjustments after game one and played 3 great games and tonight's was just good enough to get some bounces. They're a good team with speed and should give the winner of Dallas/Vegas a tough series. That only one team out of Dallas, Colorado, Vegas, and Winnipeg gets past the second round is just crazy.
