As I said in the main board thread, Pionk got 1 game for the injury to Sandin, and 1 game because no penalty was called on the play. If Pionk was penalized and Sandin was not hurt, he gets the fine as well.
I think the fact that Cole received a 5 min+match penalty also factors into the DoPS decision. I don't think it's right, but I'm pretty sure this is why.

Considering Scheif wasn't injured (as far as I know) on the play, im not too worried about getting Justice, but i thought i would share this anyhow.

I think Cole's was much more reckless...led with the knee and stuck it way outside his path. Pionk's was much more incidental. All about outcomes with DOPS.

DOPS is all about outcomes, no interest in player safety at all. Optics Optics Optics.
Cole hit was completely deliberate and earned a deserved 5 minute major and a game. There is literally no comparison between his hit and Pionk’s. Way worse.
