Need to start a pool on how many fired coaches end up getting hired somewhere else by August.

Last sentence very interesting. Who is that? Sully? Who am I missing?

Kypreos apparently mentioned Sullivan to New Jersey as a possibility

Sara Civian (legit) says there’s truth to the idea Rod The Bod is as closer to an agreed deal in the past than he is now. Something’s up

And there it is. Rod's agent is making this more difficult than it needs to be because Brindy taking the kind of deal he wants to take will screw over his other clients in their own contract negotiations

It’s crazy that people are mad that a coach is taking less money, but when players take less money for example in Florida, Dallas, and Colorado it’s not a problem.

Completely expected. Its been well known that the two sides basically agreed to the framework of an extension, but Brindy wanted to make sure his assistants were taken care of before he extended, and they decided to table the finalization of the details until after the playoff run when they could focus on it.

As for the contract being less, Dundon has repeatedly said he will spend money for anything that benefits the team on the ice, and has routinely backed that up by spending to the cap, overhauling the training facilities, and essentially giving Brindy a blank check to do what he wants with the coaches. There has been no worries about an extension, and from things that have leaked today, it sounds like Brindy's agent might have gone rogue a bit over the past 24 hours, and did it on behalf of his other clients, and not Brindy.

The fact Dreger did what he did told me this was getting done right now. He did the exact same thing when Kopitar got his big extension. Throwing out a tweet about things changing and acting like it’s in peril 24 hours before it was done.

Oh boy, in today's podcast Friedman strongly hints that this whole situation with Brind'amour came up because people around him were getting upset and thought he was being taken advantage of by the Canes and decided to go rogue, and not from Brindy at all. If this is true, super sleazy move by Dreger and Weekes to push this narrative like they did without confirming the validity of it.

Penguins relieve Reirden of his duties. Seravalli thinks this could signal the departure of Sullivan.

You can trade a coach? Kevin Weekes said Sully can be let go via a trade.

Sully for Cooper.

Probably be Sully for Keefe.
