Water Street Tampa called Wednesday for artists to send in their ideas for a big piece of public art for the outdoor plaza between one of the $3 billion project’s office buildings and the new University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute.

Art thread? Art thread.

So, a young lady crashed into my car (built in 1996, my granpa used to drive it so it had some nostalgic value for me and my family). Reparing it just won't be worth it anymore. Her insurance will provide me a car for 14 days. So now I need a new one fast. Damn. :(

I had a similar thing happen a year ago. My wife totaled our 1998 Toyota Rustbucket and she only had liability insurance, so we basically sold it for scrap and I had to buy a new one out of pocket. Car shopping sucks.

whaaaaaat????

I've got to wonder about how this is going to work. The first time around it was overly focused on TV. Of course streaming is going to be a thing now, but are they still going to make home viewership the reason they do it, or is it going to be more market focused?

They can't possibly play the same rules they did the first time around. Concussions are too big an issue and they'll never get insured. So I figure it'll stick closer to the football we already see.

I'd take a bet that they'll mention that they'll require players to stand for the anthem though.

edit: I'd lose that bet. Kind of noncommittal. Just saying that they'll listen to the fans and that he doesn't believe they're there for politics.

The X behind the new XFL logo does resemble the Confederate Battle Flag though.

The XFL thing is pretty much a misnomer. It's a safe, family friendly, league with no WWE connections or crossover whatsoever. Journalists missed the mark during the Q&A by not building on the answer of centrally owned teams and asking what the player budget/cap is intended to be, or even asking what the business model is. All the same BS about broadcasting rights and kneeling.

The league is so early on, that there's basically nothing other than a declaration of announcing they exist.

Jeff Marek does seem to be getting his wish of seeing what happens if the doctors write the rules since McMahon was saying that they'd be listening to them to make a safer league (than the NFL).

Most (all?) of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show are up on Netflix.

Mario says "Well, f*** you, Luigi" within the first two minutes of the first episode starting.

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog are also on there.

My phone has been getting pretty slow lately so I thought factory reset would speed it up a but no. Now I have to set everything up again.

I think it's tied to your battery. iPhone I'm assuming? Apple apologizes for iPhone slowdown drama, will offer $29 battery replacements

I have an Android phone, but I have an app that alerts me when I'm charging my phone that when it gets to 80% capacity, it starts buzzing to unplug it. Keeping the battery between 40-80% extends the battery's life.
