I was told last night that Billy Jenkins who verbally committed to Western now has signed or will be signing with Lakehead

Good move by Jenkins...he probably changed his mind after meeting the Western staff.

Hardie is a Yes for SMU recruit, Lessier is a No.

Whitney is currently with Miramichi Timberwolves and is a Yes, also.

Brandon Whitney left the Miramichi Timberwolves a couple of days ago to play in the ECHL with the Wheeling Nailers.

Big goalie with some good numbers. Wouldn't surprised me if he stays pro.

If not he might be an excellent replacement for Peters.

Surprised Whitney doesn't have some interest in Acadia. Being from the area, you'd have to think it'd be appealing to him..

I'm sure the Huskies hosting the nationals next year influenced his decision.

Some teams carry three goalies. Not sure if Robert Steeves is an AUS quality netminder. They probably won't win anything with Glover in nets. They should go after a #1 if they can.

Hopefully for the Huskies Whitney makes up his mind during the Summer so they have time to recruit another goalie if he decides to go pro. Doubt they want Cheveldave to be their starter.

However, Mathieu Gagnon has decided to go back to the pros.

A lot of guys are committing early for multiple reasons ranging from cap rules in AUS to program of study or to just hockey team in general. I am finding more guys committing early to cover there bases just in case they don't land pro deal and school of choice has no spots left
