</p>The first game in what is now known as the CHL Canada Russia Series took place on Monday night, with Team WHL notching a decisive 7-3 win over Team Russia at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC.
The WHL opened a 6-0 lead in the first two periods, adding one marker in the third period after Russia had scored three straight goals to make things semi-interesting.
