I'm actually happy about this and not sure why it wasn't done far sooner. He is, no joke, one of the fastest skaters alive. He is instantly up there with the likes of Kempe or even McDavid in terms of straight-line speed. He can get multiple breakaways a game. The problem is that he rarely finishes, has stone hands, and offers little else outside of this god-like ability. Still, he was productive enough to warrant bottom 6 consideration somewhere and has been buried in the AHL for years. I am glad he has a chance to go somewhere else to try again regardless if it is in the NHL or AHL.
