About time, with all the players on waivers the fact the hawks picked him up was proof they were trying to tank. In that way he did his job.

They were depleted with Forward injuries, and now many of those guys are back.

It was pretty rough at the time they claimed him

Injured (at time): Bedard Foligno Athanasiou Hall Anderson Jones Beauvillier Raddysh T. Johnson

Bedard, Foligno, Anderson, Beauvillier, Raddysh, T. Johnson all back now.

Seney, Guttman, Pitlick (didn't play that game as he was just acquired and travel issues), Reichel, Sanford have since gone down

Sanford and Pitlick were just bodies caliamed on waiver pickups to fill an injury depleted roster. I hoped they would show something but neither showed anything. Oh well. II guess this is a good sign thy are getting some bodies back,

The modern day Mike Sillinger, without the faceoff ability but with his name on the Cup.

And yet he's made almost $8 million playing a kid's game.

Not bad.
Yep, solid career earnings and his name is on the Stanley Cup. He’s had a pretty great professional career TBH. Hope he continues to find opportunities!

I know they were short at the time same reason why they picked up Pitlick, but they could have called up someone from the A or made a small trade to get someone that has something to play for. Sanford brought nothing but a body.
