Chek is probably the early favorite for a spot if the org agrees with what we're seeing. With him sidelined this gives the others a chance to close the gap or show something. Hopefully a few others impress because depending on when DW acquires a top 6 fwd, there could be a couple spots up for grabs.

I just get a feeling that Chekhovich is ready to go at the NHL level right now. Chmelevski should get a chance for the 1st 9 games, because I don't think he will need that much time to get used to the NHL level. Just seems to be a slow starter.

If NHL 19 is to be believed Chekhovich tops out as a top-line AHLer and Chmelevski will become a legit 2C on multiple cup winners

I think anytime a player gets a puck to a face, its not going to look pretty ..

The biggest concerns are the eyes and/or bad concussions. If not, he should recover fairly quickly.

Could be just you. Every time i see/think of Eakin i feel an irrational hatred. Chek's cage just makes me think of other bozo's in my men's league lol
