So hyped for Wednesday. Sucks that I won't be in Madrid for it but seeing Union at the Bernabeu will be insane. Hoping they bring their A-game:

Behrens - Becker
Gosens - Laïdouni - Haberer - Juranovic
Kral
Leite - Knoche - Doekhi
Rönnow

with Fofana and Aaronson coming on when Real starts to get tired

Also excited for Arsenal's return to the CL, though I do wish we were playing tomorrow. Wednesday I have to be at a book launch for a book I translated and I have a feeling I'm not going to be slipping out at 9pm.

IIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTS TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!! =]

Well.... I prefer rooting for the biggest underdog (that I can get behind (enjoyable to watch)) Last year was Rangers, even though I do like the Rangers, they won't have the chance this year. Newcastle will be fun... they don't play chicken. Clubs I at least watched their qualifying matches, Kobenhavn and Galatasaray were exciting to watch...

What else to watchfor... City for the repeat but miss KDB... Arsenal to see if they are going to actually hold up. Man United for the laughs and the drama. Have a small stake in Barca because of my bro in law....they are tired of old lewandowski eh? hehe....
Will have every match on but if they get arsenal / everton levels of boring I just do the highlights =P

Champions League group is my favorite part of it all.
Qualifications are nice too, equal-ish middy clubs going at it, but they usually get wiped out in group.
When teams start holding back to be cautious is when it could get bland...
All in all... waited all year for group, and it starts NOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!
Then going to a local college match tonight... footy filled day.

Then and there
Leao - Giroud - Chukwueze VS Gordon - Isak - Murphy

Milan's midfield trio isn't that creative though. Calabria at RB isn't anything special either. As usual, a lot of offensive action will rely on Theo and Leao performing well.

Surprised that neither Werner nor Sesko doesn't get to start today over Poulsen, who hasn't done much in recent matches. Especially Sesko, I thhink he deserves a start pretty soon.

Edit: Milan with some decent half-chances, but can't score.

What on earth Leao, dribbled past guys and when the time came to put the ball into net, he tried some weird backheel stuff.

Milan really should have scored by now, Newcastle are playing surprisingly careless and open style.

It didn't take long for Sesko to score after being subbed in. Edit: ruled out for offside.

Ugh, Maignan has to replaced by Sportiello because of injury.

Newcastle have been completely bodied by Milan all match. It's a miracle they are hanging on for the 0-0.

Howe went for the point against a very mediocre AC squad. It's Leao, Maignan, Tomori, and a bunch of rejects. He's destined himself for failure if he keeps going on this path...

Barca should win but after thier stellar match at the weekend this wouldn’t be barca if they didn’t fumble today.
