Great rookie season, scored his first NHL goal in his first NHL game, but then got benched by Bowness for most of the rest of that game and was sent down to the AHL the day after. Came back up a month later, played a limited 4th line role and then had a poor 2nd AHL season and ever since then has been just an average AHL player.

Lost confidence? Waiting to be traded this whole time? Just not that good? Who knows.

I've been watching him all season, he's just not very good or noticeable anymore.

I didn't have to Google either. MEP obviously not because Flames, but Damiani was a prospect I was looking at when the Tanev/Dallas stuff first came up.

I actually love these sort of deals - with all the other stuff going on, a couple of GM's (or probably AHL team GM/AGM guys) iron out a swap to help the farm or maybe give some folks a new lease on their playing career. It doesn't have to amount to much, just fun to see them come in too.
