Caufield or Byfield ?

I would still take Caufield. Carried a garbage team to the finals in his rookie year. That is worth 10 Byfield's to me.

If Byfield remains on the wing, I will take the winger who has the potential to score 40+ goals.

If Byfield is moved to the center, I'll take him, as a Habs fan.

Every GM in the league would take Byfield given the choice. He’s only playing wing bc Kopitar, Danault & Dubois are on his team.

In my league I can't decide myself as do I want to trade Caufield for Byfield ? Byfield's ceiling may be of a more complete player and he is a center but will he remain at this position and will he ever reach his potential ? Caufield is a much more safer bet. Help me HF !!!

For fantasy purposes CC is the better choice.

For the real NHL I would take Byfield going forward.

Byfield was slept on, mostly by stat watchers.

The average fan is so bad at projecting talent they think “this player is producing NOW, he can only go up from here” completely ignoring other factors in talent evaluation.

That’s what makes you and other people so great at identifying it on this site, you don’t get blinded by the here, and now like the average fan does.
