One team earns a bye this round. This goes to Colorado due to largest gap in votes in the last round.

Yeah, I get voting LA but I see it as a very close matchup. Kinda surprised.

For a 90 pt C, I don’t think Tim Stutzle gets the respect he deserves yet on here.

Thats not really the issue for me. Edmonton is the better team down the middle but only by a little bit.

Stutzle had 90 points last year and Zibby had 91 so they are a wash.

I actually like Robert Thomas more than Wyatt Johnson, however I like Gourde a little better than Dach. Parssinen gets the edge over Dewar.

I like the top six in LA better. I like Connor, Necas, Bertuzzi and Hall over Kempe, Giroux, Burakovsky and Quinn. Quinn in the top 6 is a bit of a reach.

I like the bottom six of LA. Laughton/Teravainen gets the edge over Iafallo/Foegele.

The biggest difference is on defence.

I'm just not a fan of anyone outside of Josi for Edmonton while LA is solid.

LA has the better goaltender in Oettinger > Samsanov.

2 areas I disagree with you there:

1) Robert Thomas is a couple tiers ahead of Wyatt Johnston for me, and I like Wyatt. Thomas is comfortably a top-32 C for me, so by that definition a 1C.

2) Defense is the main area where we’re on completely different pages. I thought my second pair of Forsling - Marino was one of the team’s biggest strengths haha. I’d consider both #2 d-men. Samuelsson is a solid 2nd pairing guy but thrived played top-pairing minutes with Dahlin all season, so I think he’s be fine up there with Josi. LAK has a similar dynamic with Dahlin - Mikey, but I definitely prefer my 2nd pair of Forsling - Marino to their Chabot - DeMelo.

Is EDM-LA like one of those “it’s close and everyone chose LA to win in 7 games” type of matchups? Or am I way off?

Ill start from the D

Shockingly similar - strong defebsive D paired with a superstar D, but I like the Anderson - Dahlin better than Samuelsson - Josi

Edm seems to have a small advantage for the depth D, but Chabot is a top pairimg D in his own right and im not a big Ryker Evans guy. Demeio is the weaker of the 2nd pair guys imo.

Up front, that LA first line is just better. 2nd line I prefer edmonton, just love pairing Thomas with two scorers and a bigger guy in Kempe. Quinn very unproven though, bit good fit.

I also prefer LA 3rd and 4th line.

Then I much prefer Oettinger over Samsonov.
So, while I think Edmonton's 2nd line is quite a bit superior, idk if it overall bridges the 1st line + goalie gap. And I prefer LA's D by a small marging....

It'd be an interesting series for sure

Fair comment, but then you said you’re not a big Ryker Evans guy. And said Quinn is very unproven. So everything is invalid.

Interesting takes. I like Edmonton's defense a bit better.

Random point: I think IRL PP1 usage(or lack of it) really skews how players are viewed in these drafts which sucks
