I could actually see this happening, Vegas does not really have to many options to choose from and I do not think it would be as much as a gamble as most think.

The question is why retain and have 50% count against your cap when the player is otherwise sitting on LTIR not counting against your cap and I believe therefore being paid by insurance not the club. All for the gift of taking the oppositions cap dump that will also tag against their cap. How could they possibly say no to that?

Honestly I don’t see how there’s any chance of a workable proposal here.
