Speculation: Capuano line changes.

It's no surprise that he's gonna change lines like he does every night, but I'm talking Andrew Ladd/Chimera sitting.
It's nice to see that he's actually holding guys accountable now though, only thing I worry about is this the Strome abuse that we're so used to or him actually being mad at performance of vets.

How long do you keep blaming the players for not playing within 'the system' before you look at......'the system' or the person(s) implementing 'the system'??

Enough of this clown car...I'm so done with this team.

Agreed. It's at that point where I can't even look at that putz behind the bench, and his useless cronies.

Gave Ladd props early but then re-evaluated. I just don't know anymore.

I'm fine with finding certain guys to framework lines around and rotating the rest, the rest being Strome, Chimera, Kulemin and Ladd and just have them rotating in the press box.

And bring up Boulton because I'm bored.

So far, Capuano has been very patient with Ladd. On the 3rd goal against last night, I think it was Ladd who was out of position, no one was protecting the left side and this was Ladd position. Will Capuano go that far and sit Ladd? I doubt that.

What My lines would be (for next game, a break for Ladd who is just super bad anyway, we don't miss much)

I do think at 40 years old Jon Sim has grown 6 inches and a beard and taken back his #16 jersey.

Ladd is that bad, he is a huge cancer on this roster and probably a huge source of division on the bench with Cappy and Weight, since Ladd is Weight's buddy.

I will maintain that Cappy is a good coach and he is held harmless here, he didn't sign his 4th line to long term deals, he didn't give Ladd, Kulemin, Boychuk, and Grabo retirement contracts. He didn't not sign KO, Frans and Martin.

Cappy is a rah/rah guy with a good head for analytics when the game is not in progress, but you can say that about all the good coaches in the NHL... Quenneville had Dineen, Cooper has Richards... Scott Allen would be a big upgrade over Weight...

If we could get Moulson and Vrbata here cheaply, I think we get 2 finishers that are proven that can help, we really lack finishers.

I don't necessarily think Capuano is a bad coach, just bad for our group of guys to be honest, he wants to play a hard hitting board game which is not suitable for this team.

JT, you've got Bailey on your right and Zeeker on your left.

Nelson, you've got Hamonic on your right and Ladd on your left.

"But coach, Hamonic...." Nelson starts, and JT shoots him a look shaking his head "no."

Nelson shuts up.

The sad thing is that Quine is a depth forward and he deserves to be on our second line with how horrendous this team is.

At this point, playing Berube wouldn't hurt. Maybe he'll regain some value.

I wasn't laughing at that part. Berube has to play 30 games to avoid losing him as a UFA. Better start him now.

I'm just tired of Cappy huffing and puffing and then ends up scratching either 10, 18 or 72.

What's going to be the big shocker today? He sends Strome back to the AHL?:shakehead

In that case Snow crippled him letting Matt Martin go... I mean bringing that Johnston guy up to hit some people even makes sense than SimiLadd

That's the sad part. You're absolutely right about his huffing and puffing, it's comical.

I think you contradict yourself a bit. If he is not able to adjust to this group of players, that is to say to go with a game plan that suits them, it makes him a bad coach.

And he admits it himself : he has no solution. He really needs to go. And yes I know he looks like a nice guy and I hate it too when nice guys lose their job, but in the Hockey world, especially the NHL, it's not a good enough reason to keep him! We really need to replace him and Doug Weight.

"its not like we have a full bullpen to work with"

So its not like we are decimated with injuries -- we have our roster... but is that comment is directed to the loss of Okie and Franz?

WTF is he talking about?

You either fire the entire team or you fire the coach....rolling the same combination over and over is pointless. Just need a new voice in the room, give he and his staff a chance to evaluate which players don't fit and move them when the time is right.

The next guy doesn't have to be permanent but just doing nothing until "your ideal guy" becomes available is a waste of time. I think he is right that there are some players on this team who don't belong but he has to be the first shoe to drop....

More importantly the GM, his assistants and the scouts need to go. KO, Frans and Matty Marts were playing well with this coach and then the GM replaced them with Ladd, Chimera and PAP.

The coach didn't change from the last 2 years the construction of the roster did. Garth OWNS this mess. I agree the coach needs to go because the team isn't responding but honestly the talent isn't there. Right now Bailey is our 2nd best forward. That should be a sobering thought.

This GM Is the problem, completely agree.. losing guys like Frans, KO and Martin who the coach helped develop... and handcuffing him journeymen wasn't great

As a GM you have to make trades that hurt... When Isles dealt Billy Harris to LA for Goring, it hurt but we got our missing piece... Snow never has dealt a player away where it hurt in an effort to make the team better

This is the teleplay of a Snow/Cappy lines discussion

Cappy: Feck... this group of guyz are all passengers

Snow: No they are not I paid top dollar for them.

Cappy: I got 13 forwards, I can't sit Quine or Beau because they battle hahd, and Chimera gets me Levitra to make me hahd. Strome is a top 5 pick... I am going to sit Sim... I mean Ladd

Snow: The hell not, he gets 8 million beans a year.. he plays

Cappy: Damn, but he is a passenger, and told Cronin in the back, that he will guarantee 3 bonehead mistakes

Snow: Tough luck, next

Cappy: Ugh, how about Kulemin

Snow: No way, he is a 30 goal scorer, and I am paying him 3 times more than i am paying you

Cappy: but he can't move and may have a Vodka flask in his helmet

Snow: That's OK Yashin got him his vodka... next

(Knocking at door)

Delivery guy: 2 brontosaurus burgers, and 1 kielbasa for mr Capuano)

Cappy: How much? $32.50 got it., now as I was saying.. Kulemin has to sit, I bet you would make me play Grabo over Beauvillier if he was healthy

Snow: Yeah, he makes a lot of money

Cappy: can you get me a guy who can drop the gloves at least

Snow: I can call Boulton up at the assisted living place but you would have to sit Quine and Beau if he comes up

Cappy: argh, scratch that, could we get Cody McLeod from Colorado, they play poorly

Snow: Yes but I would have to deal away any of BeauQuince for that.

Cappy: Nah, how come I don't have Martin, Nielsen or KO

Snow: KO didn't buy Doug Weight a shot at the Christmas party, so he is gone. Couldn't afford to pay Nielsen, had to give Zeke the money.... Martin doesn't put points up.

Cappy: And why do we have Ladd?

Snow: He has 2 cups

Cappy: But Jon Sim has a cup, do I have to use him every shift

Snow: Not only that, but all power plays and all shorthanded situations

Cappy: How can I win this this roster

Snow: The object is not to win, it is to get through 82 games, I promise I will overpay for another forward in the offseason to help

Cappy: Can I talk to Mcphee about the Vegas job

Snow: Hmm remember that time in Cape Cod with the pina coladas and the donkey?

Cappy: Damn you still have those photos

Snow: yup
