I hope Elliott plays like he did against the Oilers earlier this season. That's the only Flames game i've seen and he was hang out to dry by his defense but he certainly couldn't make the big saves there. This Capitals team could use a blowout victory soon to get few of their guys confidence back up.

I feel like that's a better description of Semin, nobody wanted Brouwer or Wideman back despite emotional abuse.

Brouwer's more like the ex that tried really hard to make it work, but you weren't really all that into them and broke it off to be with someone fun.

Nah, Flames poached him. He looked fine for the Oilers in his appearances and it doesn't make any sense why they wouldn't sign him especially if they were getting rid of Yak.
