"Green" should pass it over the Holtsie so he can get Kolzig out of this brain for a game

This part of the schedule seems odd. 4 nights off and then 5 games in 7 nights.

I'm sure the Olympic break has caused scheduling problems. You have to pack games into stretches wherever you can while considering the recurring and new event schedules of all the arenas in the league (concerts, shows, conventions, circus crap, etc).

Can't see Grubauer going again. Likely Neuvirth or Holtby. I'm guessing Neuvirth. @Sheangus so are all 3 goalies in play for tonight?

holtby pressbox?

Its funny the whole anti-shootout crap on HF.

Chicago is 4-6, Capitals being 8-4 is a travesty to hockey because they have played 2 more shootouts and win them!

Chicago has 2 Cups in the last 4 years and are the defending champs. They have shown they can hack it in the playoffs when the shootout goes away. The Caps haven't done diddly in almost 40 years.

Think that has anything to do with it?

(p.s. 8 - 4 =/= 2, shootout wins are worth 1 additional point each, that's 4 more wins and 4 more points....just look at ROW)

Then why are shootouts not used come playoff time?

Shootouts are strictly an entertainment gimmick.

I never had a problem with when the games ended in a tie and both teams earned a point, but willing to compromise on the matter and drop the shootouts and go with the current 5 minute 4v4 OT session. Team wins in OT they get 2 points while the loser does not get any (never understood how a losing team in such situations can still get a point under the current format). Both teams still tied after OT, each team earns a point and that's it, none of this shootout BS.
