It's not even possible. If he had a NTC, he would have had to waive it to get traded to the Hawks and once they are waived, they stay waived.

No they don't. Prior to the new CBA, if a player was traded before his NTC had kicked in the new team didn't have to honour it. But a NTC that is in effect doesn't disappear on a new team just b/c it was waived for a trade.

How in the name of god to you figure that Milan Lucic is worth a 1st and a strong goalie prospect?

If it's 25-30 and you're team has cap space, I kind of like it. Makes absolutely no sense for the Kings @ 13 with their cap troubles.
