You all realize what this means to a borderline guy .. right?
These AHL NHL tweeners can set themselves up for life with a contract like this. A one way 2 year contract worth $1.65 M is pretty much as I made in a life time as a professional engineer. Even if his career fizzles after this, if he is careful, this can carry him for life. Happy for the guy.
2.0 ppg player. Best contract in the league. Insane.0.825 mil/ 2 years for a PPG player.
Allvin wins again.
Incorrect.. lots of avenues to go downAfter taxes, agent fees, and escrow he's looking at a around 700k I guess. A very nice figure, but hardly enough to set him up life.
Even without Suter returning we have a bit of a log jam. We currently have 14 forwards who probably all should/could be every day NHL regulars (even though a ton of them are on the lower end of that).Aman is like 'free money' from your local casino. A sixth round pick of the Av's in 2020, and became a UFA when they declined to sign him.
But what's not to like? A rangy kid who can play center or wing; take faceoffs; kill penalties and a strong skater. The knock on him in Sweden and in early days in NA, was that the offense was non-existent.
But even that knock is disappearing. Two points last night in a third-fourth line role; and a PPG player in Abbotsford. Tocchet obviously loves the guy and was disappointed when he was sent out after pre-season.
But they've got some personnel decisions to sort out when Suter returns. Somebody has to be traded or hit the press-box as a healthy scratch.
Been a lot of years since we’ve been able to say that!Even without Suter returning we have a bit of a log jam. We currently have 14 forwards who probably all should/could be every day NHL regulars.
