Prout is a significant downgrade from Hamonic..hopefully he gets exposed by the faster Canuck forwards.
Dube is actually lucky that Dube didn't get hurt on the play.
No he wouldn't of. Not like he hit him the head. He’s lucky in that if Dube was injured on the play, in particular concussed, he would have been suspended.

It 110% would not of been. That would 100% have been a suspension if Dube was injured, especially given that Gudbranson is a prior offender.
It 110% would not of been.
Much more goes into a suspension decision than injury.
Lee Sweatt's was a beauty- mainly because of some sweet Sediney, but it was a great finish. I remember him retiring like 6 months later to pursue a career in finance. As a 3x all academic, it was probably the correct move in the end. Cool story.
Watch the Flames token tough guys try and goon it up tomorrow. I can't imagine they liked losing 5-2, along with the hit on Dube and the Hamonic fight.

You sure about that "fact"?Well, yes.
In this case, the fact that it was an illegal hit to the head from a prior offender would have meant it was a suspension if there was an injury.
Does it strike anyone else as odd how agitators in general seem to have a tendency to be deceptively smart, polished, and skilled hockey players who are capable of playing better than you expect? Seems like it happens way more than it does with goons, hitters, or any other kind of specialist.
Kesler, Burrows, and even Matt Cooke at one point were able to step in and play effective, first-line caliber hockey. Lapierre was able step in and look like a high-end shutdown forward. Ruutu, who seemed like a fringe guy, was able to step in as an underrated defensive player and shoot-out specialist, at least for a moment. All of these guys were smart defensive players who had more skill and brains than you thought.
In fact, I can't recall any Canuck agitator who was bad at hockey.
I dunno, but in my book a hit which is against the rules (as this one was) is, by definition, not a "clean" hit.
Why would Calgary dress Prout over Andersson?
