I mean, the player was visibly and publicly quite annoyed at how it all went down when it did. Time, and winning, can heal many wounds.
CDH-Bear is the pairing today so you’d think if they’d already made the decision to move on from Bear they would be trying CDH with Chatfield or Coghlan.
I have a feeling they’ll try to sneak Chatfield through waivers to start the year and roll with the other 7.
I still think he is one of our best 6 defenders atm...

Stastny is going to be on the roster. He's not on a PTO. The Canes signed him to a $1.5M contract ($2.0M with performance bonuses), guaranteed at the NHL and AHL level. There's almost no chance he doesn't make it.
Agreed. I have Noesen penciled in for 4th line ahead of Stepan. who knows.

Stepan is the only righty they have who can win a faceoff. I’ll be surprised if he’s not signed soon.

So the rest of the guys are likely fighting for 13th/14th forward. Maybe one of them supplants Drury, but I don't think the odds are that high.

I think this move solidifies our defense. The last time we went to the ECF was with CDH. I really like the idea of him and cogs as our 3rd pair.

What would the Nucks be willing to pay for Bear? 3rd? Could the Canes squeeze a 2nd out of them? Or maybe a 5th or 6th to go with the 3rd. Or will they settle for a 4th?
