Gotcha. I dunno if he played center in Seattle but he mostly played wing his last few years in Nashville. I always liked him at wing better than center.

He’s played both here so far and he hasn’t looked out of place. He’s definitely been snakebit but he’s a smart player and usually makes the right play on the ice

Imagine if we lived in a universe where management just let Ruzicka and either Phillips or Pelletier play. We could have received equal or better performance without trading away a draft full of picks and getting tighter up against the cap for next year.

I still can't believe we gave up so much for Tofolli too. He was a product of the PP and top line deployment. He hasn't been nearly as effective in a depth role and has had absolutely 0 chemistry with Mangiapane and Backlund.

Don't get why Sutter is insistent on putting Jarnkrok at centre and keeping him there the whole time. At that point why not get the cheaper, actual centre in Namestnikov. The trade would be fine if Jarnkrok was put in a spot to succeed but the middle 6 of the Flames is all out of whack with a natural right wing being forced to play centre
