From my observation, Caleb is better than a 7th Dman and Kalynuk is also going to get a shot.
I wouldn't mind at all if Murphy is traded and Gus waived in the near future.

Ive been severely underwhelmed with murphy this season and im baffled gus is still in the nhl.

Murphy was so good the last two seasons and has been absolutely awful this year. Idk what happened to him. I was apprehensive about re-signing him, despite being one of his bigger fans, because sometimes big defensive defensemen just lose it around age 30 and it looks like that might be happening to him. Might be a good idea to get out of that contract before it becomes immovable.

Murphy's first 5 games was awful but he has been good lately.

Gus has been Gus, all O, Zero D.

He doesn't work with McCabe. Two coaches haven't figured this out yet.
