I have my own feeling on how this question might draw out on HF, but out of curiousity, I'll pose it. Would you rather your team make the playoffs as a late seed or win the Calder Cup and miss the NHL playoffs altogether? I think this is somewhat of a litmus test in how people value/perhaps overvalue the future here if most fall into the latter category, which I'm assuming they will. I'm just curious to hear the reasonings.

What does the Calder Cup have to do with my NHL team?

The Saint John Flames won the Calder Cup back when our prospect pool was at its thinnest, we just had alot of good AHL players.

    Playoff seed every time.
