After 3 bad games (0+1,0+0,0+1) Hepo gets back into it by scoring 1+2 against Pats @ Regina,4-1 W
- first star selection, passes Halbgewachs and takes 2nd place

Hepo's ppg avg has dropped from 2.50 to 2.38,because of those 3 games

3 points behind Burke (Burke last 4 games; 0+2,1+1,1+1,1+0)

Given his incredible season thus far, but also taking into consideration his size (and skating???) I’m trying to put in context what he’s accomplishing this year...

How good a prospect is he now compared to before the season began?
The numbers he’s put up compared to a guy taken a couple picks ahead of him in Kole Lind...how would you say they now compare as prospects?

yea i dont think he'll get the tryout tippett did even though hes worlds better just cause of his size. i think theyll return him to swift current even though europe would make more sense. expect records to be shattered if he sees the whl again. but he doesnt seem to have played in last nights game. does anyone know what happened?

Why Heponiemi should return to Swift Current next season?
Aleksi is this season proved that he's too good in WHL.

So next season he'll need men's games with tougher competition .
And best option to get those games is coming back to Finland and play in SM liiga.

I agree that's what should happen. I just don't think its what will happen. any word on if he's injured?

Hepo has missed two games in a row due to a minor injury,
he will miss next game as well, but will be back to Broncos next game
after this game, which isn't until next Friday.

Manny said he is fine, but precautionary reasons he isn't playing in the next game.

Nothing special from Hepo since his return, 2 games 3 points.
Is now 5 points behind Gawdin (47+54=101 | 1.84 ppg) and 6 points behind Burke
(28+74=102 | 1.96 ppg).

Broncos are on a 3 games 3 days thing again, 2 wins from 2 games,
hoping Hepo gets 4 points tonight, so that he gets the 100 point mark.

Biz-arre indeed.

Man...he decided to take a cold streak the worst possible time.
3 games, 3 points since his return.

BTW. Broncos scored 16 goals in those 3 games.

Gawdin now leads the WHL scoring,
7 points ahead of Hepo...or is it 8?.

I am not sure why people expect players coming back from injury to instantly play similar game as they were before.

This is different, because he wasn't really injured, not seriously anyways.
He was healthy to play Februray 3rd, according to Manny.
- they had 5 days rest after Februray 4th.

Maybe Broncos physios/doctors suck? i dunno, but he did play relatively well
game before, scored 2 primary assists, which is pretty okay.

Kinda strange from Bronco's coach, Heponiemi play's in 3rd line now...
another goose eggs for Hepo. Gawdin&Steenbergen both get 1g+2a,
Gawdin closing in for 110 points, Heponiemi still at 97 :(

At one point of the season, Hepo had a commanding lead over Gawdin
about 10 points,or over 10 points, now....its crazy.

Gawdin is on a 17 game point streak; 18g+18a=36pts
(last 8 games; 10g+9a=19pts)

Heponiemi, last 8 games, 1g+7a=8pts

Well that doghouse, cold streak is over. Hepo back to first line,1st pp unit; 4 assists and +3

He dropped from 2.56 to 2.20, now he is 2.30 ppg, coouple of 4, 5 point games in a row
and he is back to 2.50 in no time :) .

BTW. Heponiemi becomes first Finnish born player to score 100 points in a single season in the CHL
