Should be a notable prospect for the 2024 OHL and then 2026 NHL draft. Kid is playing with the '07's as an '08 for the Mississagua Senators in the GTHL and didn't look out of place whatsoever. If he is able to continue his strong play and continue to play up an age group, look out for this kid to become one of the top selections in next year's OHL draft. We'll see how things play out for the kid moving forward.

Edit: A little deep dive into the kid and his game:
Adam is a very skilled player that knows how to move the puck. Has great vision in the offensive end, was able to make some really difficult passes that lead to goals. Good speed and is a battler. Was able to beat 2 defenders along the boards, make a nifty move past a 3rd defender then cut to the net where he was stopped. Excellent scoring chance out of nothing. Doesn’t look like he is playing up an age group, at all.

Playing with the Marlies U16 AAA 2023-2024
Where he lead the Marlies to a Titans early bird tournament win.

He had 24 points in 7 games, most in the tournament by 5 points. Braidy Wassilyn came second with 19, but in 2 less games played.

Valentini was straight up the Marlies best player, and it wasn’t close. 10 more points than the next closest player.

For those that are unaware, Valentini is absolutely criusing it at the Whitby Silver Stick tournament, a tournament that has some of the best teams in North America going head to head.

He has 16 points in only 5 games including a 4 point game against one of the best (ON PAPER) teams I’ve personally ever seen in the Barrie Jr. Colts, who came into the tournament as the #1 ranked team in all of Ontario.

Valentini has 9 more points than his closest teammate, Weston Cameron who has 7. It’s safe to say he has been dominating the tournament so far.

He’s definitely making his case known to be the #1 selection in the upcoming OHL draft, It’s a shame the Markham Majors didn’t quality for the tournament so we were unable to see Braidy Wassilyn and Valentini go head 2 head.

Why didn’t he apply for ES?
He wouldn’t have gotten it, he was very good last season as an underager but not dominant. That’s what they look for when the grant ES, a player who is still one of the best players in the league while playing up an age group. Don’t want to waste the money applying when you know you’re not going to get it.

Ended up with 20 points in 7 games leading the Marlies to the finals (lost to Vaughan).

I had him 3rd for the OHL draft, but I'd personally move him to 2nd now, just behind Wassilyn.

Hopefully the Petes get the 1st overall pick and can add him to this young Petes core

If he does decide on the NCAA route, here's hoping Michigan is in the running. Unfortunate for the Steelheads as they relocate but might be able to parlay it into two picks next year and restart the franchise with a couple young players.

Michigan has ties but BU got Celebrini.

He'll end up at BC, BU, or UM.
