Phillies..... like a horse?

No seriously, I must have missed class that day. Paine published Common Sense. Saved the American Revolution. So the idea is that his words were distributed as fliers and so the new owners decided to name the team the Flyers?

I figured it was a celebration of flight......Fliers = Flyers?

As Risto throws himself into the glass
And Hutton plays goalie like a complete ass
The Sabres can’t complete a damn pass
It’s good ol sabres hockey

As Skinners snake bitten and eichel is sore
I question what I watch these games for
It’s worse than seeing your mothers a hor-ible person
It’s good ol Sabres hockey

And our big trade Michael can fro-lik my balls
The other team always gets all the calls
I feel like Risto running invisible walls
When I watch good ol Sabres hockey

Nice... can that be sung to the Sabres Song.....? (We're gonna win that Cup!!)

That shot of AV laughing was sad In that they have two HCs behind the bench.

Well, ya got me there........

So why are we the Buffalo Swords then? Or butter knives?

Did Punch just like the name or concept?

Last point...... Flyers is a very common nickname for hockey teams. Seen it used all over Canada. I used to coach in a local organization that was called the Flyers...... Pretty sure it's use preceded the inception of the Philadelphia franchise. Or any connection with the American Revolution.

Maybe these other guys were all train fanatics......

"The Sabres played very well, they gave The Flyers all they could handle, and out shot them... in a very difficult environment."

Rob Ray needs his brain scanned for cognitive damage. Seriously.

What did he say that was incorrect? They played well but lost. Plain and simple.

Is this an NHL first???

Two opposing goalies both named Carter??

Let's hope it doesn't happen again, at least for The Sabres...

Switch to Tampa v Boston. Nice feisty game!
