The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks allowed Ilya Bryzgalov to play for Russia at the Rosno Cup. He will miss 6 games in the AHL.

I'm quite sure the Rosno Cup (formerly Baltica Cup) is just Russia, Finland, Sweden and the Czech Republic

I've never seen an AHL team release the player to play in the world championships either, since these are played roughly the same time as the playoffs.Robertsson 4-ever said:You cant compare Rosno Cup with the Olympics or the World Championships. :lol
I've never seen players from North America coming to those small tournaments before.
