Question for anyone with a strong grasp on contracts:
According to Generalfanager.com, Seth Griffith is on a 2 way deal which would pay him 650,000.00 in the NHL (roughly 7,600.00 per game) and 150,000.00 in the AHL. It also says he is GUARANTEED $225,000.00.
Would that mean he's been guaranteed 10 games on the NHL roster, which would get him just over the 225,000.00 mark, or does that mean if he never got called (or if he gets called up for less than 10 games) up they will just round up to 225,000?
Kind of sounds like they plan on giving him another look in Boston at least, or maybe I'm just reading into it. Anyone know if these monetary guarantees above an AHL salary typically translate to NHL games?
