The Leafs being 4th just graphically shows how bad hockey has been the last 50 years in Toronto.

Won't complain about that. Still a dumpster fire today, but sooner or later I think Babcock will manage to have them improve.

Yeah, that surprises me. Toronto is not just an original-6 team, they're an original-4 team (those stats go back to the formation of the NHL as a breakaway professional Canadian hockey league in 1917.) I figured their fairly successful history in the long pre-Orr era would have caused their aggregate points total to be quite a bit ahead of Boston.

I wasn't very surprised to see that the Flyers are in 7th. Granted, they were in that first batch of expansion clubs, but I can't really think of any extended periods of down seasons.

Yes but the seasons were much shorter then.

I was surprised as I assumed the 2 Canadian O6 members would be 1-2 and I thought Detroit might be #3 but.....
