If there's no bronze medal game, how do they figure out who won it?
THERE ARE NO MEDALS!!! It's the Cup or nothing, just like in the NHL.
But how do they decide the silver medal?
They don't. Their is a trophy, the World Cup trophy. The winning team gets it, the other teams that lose are just eliminated and get diddaly squat.
Tell me you're just playing with me.
Loser of Canada/Czech Republic match is placed 3rd, as both teams were ahead of USA in round robin. Czech had 0 and USA -1 as a goal difference.
Places 4-8 will be following:
4. USA (LSF, 2 points, -1)
5. Sweden (LQF, 5 points)
6. Russia (LQF, 4 points)
7. Slovakia (LQF, 0 points, -9)
8. Germany (LQF, 0 points, -11)
Yeah, I was. Apparently some people didn't quite get it, though.
So do they all get "participant" medals?
(The post-game ceremony reminds of Peewee hockey tournaments)
So when is the bronze medal game?
:lol thanx for the laugh
