i was just browsing around on the Shattuck S. Mary's website and came across this. who is this kid? is he that good? i've never heard of him. he's from Burbank, CA so I'd imagine he'd play NCAA rather than CHL. i was comparing his numbers to crosby's when he played there and it's quite interesting.

now i know this doesn't mean a whole lot, volpei plays under 16 boys hockey program - i don't know what crosby played (bantam tier 1 maybe?). anyways, if anyone has info i'd like to know... i'm intrigued

crosby played prep hockey, which is either one or two steps up from u-16.

Yeah, Crosby was a 15 year old on the Prep squad while Volpei is a 16 year old on the U16 squad. The difference is huge.
