He has been fantastic and its nice to FINALLY have a grit player who knows his role. Id honestly be disappointed if we didn't re-sign him.

Let Jackman or Begin walk and keep McGrattan. I think Hartley loves the guy as well so that bodes well for him.

I agree no doubt that a true heavy weight (who can play) is hard to find. Gratts needs to be the guy protecting all the young players on the team next year. I we let him go some other team will grab him.

Jackman used to carry the mail for the fourth line, but he looked for most of this year like a shadow of his former self. Physically, McGrattan seems to be in another league, to be honest. Seeing him up close is extremely intimidating. I would say he is more valuable than Jackman by far, especially when he's still able to score from time to time like he did against Anaheim.
