I mean Dumo has easily been the better defenseman AINEC but I also think he’s starting to wind down from prime minutes now at age 31. He’s definitely past his prime and it’s starting to show. He’s not the player people knew him as anymore.

Not that Edmundson is a spring chicken at 29 but we may have a window opening here where, for a season or two, Edmundson, if healthy, may be the guy to take.

That said he needs to stay healthy and prove it so still went with a fading Dumoulin for one more season.

Havent really watched Dumoulin closely but hes very likely better than Big Ed, whos probably the worst D on the Habs, an already bad defense.
