i wonder if VGK has now set the bar so high that any expansion into Seattle will forever be seen as a disappointment.

Not quite sure where to discuss this but Vegas casino/hotel workers just voted to go on strike beginning June 1st. With the NHL hosting several events there next month as well as the SCF I wonder if there will be any impact. This CNBC article specifically mentioned that it could impact fans traveling to see the Golden Knights.

Voted to be able to strike any time after 6/1. Still gives the 34 resorts a chance to settle, or make good progress toward new deals. MGM and Ceasar's are two of the large corporations that could be impacted.

T-Mobile is MGM's. Not sure if concession/merchandise workers and/or ushers are part of this. Many of the teams stay at the Bellagio (also MGM).

Golden Knights success raising stakes for next NHL expansion

Article looks at how Seattle is eying VGK success. Mentions probable conditional approval for Seattle at June BOG meeting and full approval in September, if arena work on schedule for October start. Or perhaps approval at December BOG meeting.
