Excellent 1st Period by The Blues (especially Hutton). Ley's hope they can continue like this and win, and then we get Pietrangelo back tomorrow, and become competitive again.

Really happy with the first. Hutton looks strong, Tarasenko gets a goal (and on the PP so that counts for two), and the guys look sharp to start.

It seems like they were really forcing guys to the slot to look for rebounds which was great to see. I think we've had those chances there the past few games but nobody to capitalize on them, so I'm glad to see several different instances where somebody was battling for a second chance on goal.

Hopefully Blais is back for the second, but I think we all now how that'll play out. Next one up.

It has been, but oddly enough it's seemed so far to be decently effective at keeping Winnipeg to the perimeter. But with Brodziak, Bouwmeester, and Pietrangelo out I'm not surprised that the PK isn't as aggressive as we've been used to.
