As the Canes come home having used up all their offense in Toronto, fans possibly in attendance will see them return to scoring 0-1 goals per game. With Ward in goal a glove high snipe by Tarasenko and a second period softie are all but guaranteed. Prediction: 3 -1 Blues

If anybody would have predicted that the team would be 4-3-1 at this juncture with Aho and Faulk not scoring a goal and Darling having a sub .900 sv%, I think we would have laughed them off the board.

Baby steps. This team isn't even close to hitting on all cylinders yet.

Hopefully this will be one of those things where a couple of guys break out first, and that creates a domino effect where other guys find their game as a result. Either due to opening up space, or just the change in atmosphere when things are going well.

Having a not terrible 4th line is really nice. I thought it would be in theory coming into the season but seeing it play out is very nice. When is the last time they had a non terrible 4th line, 2006?

Jooris has been a pleasant surprise, even prior to last nights outing. I expected him to be an injury plug, but he's earned every minute he gets... for now.

I know it was brought up last night, especially because he scored, but I wasnt around to comment on the thoughts.....

But Brock has been pretty close to rock solid this season so far. Obviously not perfect, no one really has. But solid. Consistent. He looked good with Skinner. He looked good last night as well. He definitely looks like a NHLer out there, and I hope to continue to see big strides from him. His fire and edgy play are just an added bonus at this point. Good to see him "plugging in" and taking that spot no question.

Any yeah Jooris has been every bit as perfect for his role as advertised. Very happy with that acquisition

good catch

guess this will be a bad/good juju test

What happened to all of that optimism....you leave it in Dallas?

Last night I was thinking that if Nordstrom had handled the puck on his stick better, that line might have had 4 goals.

Superstitions are silly enough, but clinging to superstitions when your team hasn't made the playoffs in nearly a decade...that's a special kind of silly.

Yeah the hype was way high, but amidst the current cloudiness , there are some very positive signs. Lindholm for one with 5 points in 8 games. While Darling's numbers don't look great (or even ok), I think he's gonna be fine. This is a new role, new team, and new conference for him so I'm sure that is difficult to take on all at once. He's been hung out to dry on more than one goal.

Let' see other positives, we have 5 players with 5 points already, and skinner at almost a ppg pace. Now if we could translate some of that into goals, that'd be nice. FAULK! Lindholm could have 5 goals, so if he figures that out we've won the lotto. Not holding my breath, but it's a good sign. Josh Jooris could be a surprise as well. That'd be a treat. Dat 4th line. Now, if we lose tonight it'll be back to the sky is falling, and I've lost the will to live but there are positives.
