wtf why not

this is an insult to Tom Creek

He did radio there for years before passing the torch to Jerry Howarth and then him passed to the new guy who was pretty good

Are they at least doing it online

All the money in the budget went to Springer. No more money to fund radio broadcasts.

Article title is misleading.
They are going to play the audio transmission of the television broadcast over the radio, so there will be still be something to listen to on the radio.
It is frustrating though.

i am not a fan of this at all. Baseball is consumed on radio more so than any other sport with a large number of afternoon games. The product will suffer...maybe it won't matter in the end

Pretty much you can stream everything these days. Sad for the older fans that aren't tech savvy though.

Somehow this bothers me more than if it was an NFL or NBA team because baseball is such a traditional sport and the history seems so intertwined with the radio.

Shame. Baseball is the only sport that really shines over audio. Dan Shulman is awesome though.

Blue Jay Way..
So what's the play here:

Only watch the games on TV, so the radio numbers show poor?

Or

Only listen to the radio to beef up the radio audience numbers, hoping that next season they bring back play by play?

I feel like either option is no good. Feels like a lose-lose to me. Such a shame.
