Blackhawks have called the Sabres asking about Gionta. A third rounder was asked for by the Sabres.

Would be a really solid third line player for the Hawks.

Makes some sense. Hawks need better forward depth. Not sure Gionta is the guy but for the price, it could be a decent add.
