Campbell took a late penalty with a one goal lead and had the icing but he also played a lot of minutes tonight.
Liking the Coach Dennehy running practice stuff.

Hmmmm... guess I wasn't paying close enough attention. They gave up one.
Goal! Studenic with a nifty goal off a very well-placed pass.
I think it was Nazarian with the primary.Who had the assists if anyone saw?
And White with the secondary.I think it was Nazarian with the primary.
Well, enough injuries will revert that again.Great thread. Seems like last year we had AHL depth on the Devils, and this year we have NHL depth on Binghamton.
It had to be Seney with the points? We are never going to hear the end of it now in the team thread. Nico had a bad game call up Seney. Hall took a penalty call up Seney. Hayden is playing call up Seney. These nachos are kind of skimpy on the cheese call up Seney.
Maltsev looks good.
I'm not saying he deserved the spot over Boqvist, but I'm not saying he didnt either.
Martin St Louis was destined to be a career AHLer in Calgary until he moved onto Tampa Bay, a Stanley Cup and the Hall of Fame.to be fair, it's only one devils fan here who is obsessed with Seney. lol
No one else is lamenting Seney not making the team.
If anything, this is proving my point in the other threads that Seney just screams "Career AHL'er" to me.

MSL as a true NCAA freshman led Vermont in scoring 4 straight seasons.
Seney as a true NCAA freshman led Merrimack in scoring 4 straight seasons.
MSL first pro season- 13 NHL games, 2pts (.15ppg).
Seney first pro season- 51 NHL games, 13pts (.25ppg).
Obviously Seney has a long way to go but the age to age comparison is interesting since both early in their careers due to size was/is labeled to be “career AHLers”.
Allow me.Now do PPG for their AHL and college careers.
Seney is doing everything fine but MSL absolutely destroyed college players. MSL had 1 college season that was about 75% the production of Seney’s entire college career.
MSL also started a point per game AHL player and only improved as time went on. Seney isn’t there currently.
There’s no comparison between their college and AHL production. MSL was much better.
Are you related to Seney in any way? Your love affair with him is a little overboardMSL as a true NCAA freshman led Vermont in scoring 4 straight seasons.

Hindsight is 20 20Allow me.
Seney: NCAA - 0.83 ppg, AHL - 0.71 ppg
St. Louis: NCAA - 1.92 ppg, AHL - 1.20 ppg (in the dead puck era no less)
Martin St. Louis also played in a time where small players were undervalued because of all the clutching and grabbing in the NHL. Times have changed, and if he hit the league now he'd go straight to the NHL from the NCAA and may not have even finished his NCAA time before making the NHL.
But statistics are statistics.Hindsight is 20 20
Just a reply to an earlier poster’s opinion that Seney is destined to be a “career AHLer”. I don’t agree that’s all. Obviously the Devils don’t agree with the poster eitherAre you related to Seney in any way? Your love affair with him is a little overboard
Maltsev has the AHL option. #'s game.I'm not saying he deserved the spot over Boqvist, but I'm not saying he didnt either.
Not comparing the 2. Just saying MSL faced the same hurdles as Seney early in his career. His ceiling was underestimated by some Calgary fans due to sizeI like Seney and think he could be a productive NHLer, but a St. Louis comparison is well over the top.
