I love Gallagher, but I think the masterton trophy has an element of sportsmanship to it and I have a feeling other teams don’t view Gallagher as being very sportsman-like.

There are always several guys worthy of the honour (like alot of awards).

Gallagher would have been a great nominee but maybe they go with older guys sometimes since they may not have many more chances.

From the list above I believe I would pick Cullen (without knowing the back story of all of them).

I would've chosen Drouin.

Just two years ago, suspended by his team after being unfairly sent to the minors, probably because of his ethnicity.

Overcame all of that crap in TB to earn a number 1 C role in the toughest market in the NHL.

No. Niemi deserved the nomination, IMO. Boyle will win it, though - and I have no complaints on that either.
