Kessel is great and all, scores a lot of points, but he's not better than a point per game two-way center that scores 40 goals. Gaudreau is the same. You take the two-way PPG center over those two guys easily. I'd take him over Kane as well, at least from what the title of the thread says: RIGHT NOW.

If I had to rank that group it'd be:

Wheeler (he's a great two-way player which puts him above Kessel/Gaudreau/Kane)
Matthews
Kessel
Gaudreau
Kane

Kessel sure but arguable and I dont see how Gaudreau is better than Matthews. A small LW vs. a big two-way C, both just over a PPG.
